Braun Intertec - Drilling

OUR DRILLING FLEET

Multiple rigs for multiple types of drilling methods.
Our drilling fleet includes nine truck mounts, five 4-wheel drive flotation-tire carriers, two track carriers, one skid-mounted auger drill rig, one track-mounted GeoProbe® rig and one track-mounted CPT rig. Sampling soils, rock coring, in-situ testing and instrumentation installations are all possible with our rigs. Specialty services include: cone penetration testing (CPT), geophysical surveys, push-probe sampling, angle drilling, barge-mounted drilling and downhole camera capabilities.

GeoProbe® Direct Push Probe Rig for environmental drilling.
When your project calls for drilling inside a building or in tight places, or to evaluate environmental contamination, the GeoProbe® is well-suited for the job. The rig is compact enough to navigate confined spaces and terrains that larger rigs cannot. Because the push probe can collect samples in the field, our engineers and scientists are able to characterize subsurface conditions quickly. The information collected by the GeoProbe® can be used to evaluate the soils on your project site, help determine the flow of groundwater, identify contaminated areas and determine structural requirements for construction.

CPT rig provides reliable, fast, real-time results.
Our Cone Penetration Test (CPT) rig is one of the most popular and widely accepted in-situ soil tests for evaluating a site’s soil strength and support capabilities. The rig has tracks that make it ideal for navigating off-road sites, and its CPT technology evaluates subsurface geologic conditions continuously and in real time. The information collected helps to reduce risks associated with building on your site-specific conditions. CPT technology can be used to evaluate soil conditions for buildings, bridges, levee stability, wind farms and other soil-supported structures on both shallow and deep foundations. By using CPT, our field engineer or geologist can gather real-time measurements, interpret the data and make decisions on site. Real-time information saves time and offers both economy and flexibility in the project scope.

Our skid rig provides results on land or sea.
Ideal for tight areas or inside buildings, the skid-mounted auger drill rig performs probes and auger borings. Its smaller size makes it ideal for water projects because it can be easily loaded onto portable barges.

ATV track rigs offer stability when your site is unstable.
Our two ATV track rigs come in handy when soils/sites are too soft or when snow is too deep for truck or flotation-tired drill rigs.

For minimum site disruption, consider our ATV rigs with flotation tires.
Using these rigs makes sense if your project is located in a wooden area, on uneven ground or landscaped. Their large tires help to minimize surface damage to your site.

Truck rigs offer multiple drilling methods to meet your needs.
From soil sampling to rock coring to in-situ testing or instrumentation installations, our nine truck rigs are ready to mobilize to your project site.
