GEOTECHNICAL SOILS LABORATORY TESTING
Experienced testing from beginning to end in our geotechnical soils laboratory.
Driving piles into the Mississippi River for a new bridge. Designing a multi-story office complex on a fill site. Planning an infiltration basin on a new site to optimize effectiveness of water collection. Before any construction project ever takes shape, you need to understand the soil and how your site will accommodate the proposed structure. Our geotechnical laboratories serve as a valuable tool for our engineers to evaluate soil properties and behaviors. They use our laboratories to understand how soils will perform under certain conditions and how it impacts your intended structure. After the evaluation, our engineers provide you with recommendations that better equip you to make decisions during the construction process. Geotechnical testing also helps you understand and minimize the potential risks associated with issues such as settlement, load-bearing capacity, slope instability and water infiltration.
Accredited expertise.
Our soils laboratories provide AASHTO accredited testing for geotechnical engineers with triaxial testing capabilities as well as years of experience in soils consolidation, direct shear and permeability testing. We provide a wide range of soil properties testing services including liquid limits and grain size analysis to complete your geotechnical investigation. Our soils laboratories are accredited under ASTM D 3740 - Minimum Requirements for Agencies Engaged in Testing and/or Inspection of Soil and Rock as Used in Engineering Design and Control.
Our soil testing capabilities include:
- Atterberg Limits
- California Bearing Ratio
- Consolidations
- Direct shear
