Gerald J. Wallerius becomes a Certified Hazardous Materials ManagerMinneapolis, MN (May 12, 2010) – The Environmental Consulting Group at Braun Intertec is proud to announce that Gerald J. Wallerius, CHMM, recently earned his Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management. The CHMM credential recognizes expertise and commitment to professional excellence, environmental protection and public health and safety when it comes to the management of hazardous materials. Mr. Wallerius is a 1987 graduate from the University of Wisconsin - Stout, and has more than 20 years of experience in the industrial hygiene and environmental consulting fields. As a Project Scientist at Braun Intertec, he performs, designs and manages hazardous material/special waste inspections for property transactions, renovation/demolition projects, legal cases, and general building health and safety. He also performs and manages asbestos and regulated waste assessments for bridges scheduled for rehabilitation as part of local and statewide transportation projects. He has served a wide range of public, private and commercial clients. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, employee-owned Braun Intertec is a premier engineering and environmental consulting and testing firm that has about 400 employees located in multiple Twin Cities offices as well as in Duluth, Hibbing, Rochester, Mankato and St. Cloud.
