As the third major building on the growing University of North Texas campus, the Student Learning & Success Center plays a pivotal role in establishing a centerpiece of the campus. This 153,000 square foot building features a technologically-advanced multi-purpose facility including a larger Veterans Success Center, a TV and radio studio for student use, a digital design lab, a new library and tutoring facility, and an event space with the capacity to hold 500 guests. 

Braun Intertec, through our IDIQ with UNT System provided geotechnical engineering services including drilling, testing, and analysis. We explored options for foundation systems, advanced field exploration techniques, and alternate analysis methodologies to probe for potential cost savings during construction. We also worked closely with the design team to provide necessary parameters when late-stage design changes occurred. Our personnel also provided construction materials observation and testing during construction Braun Intertec provided construction materials engineering and testing services until completion. Services included subgrade inspection and earthwork laboratory and field testing; electrochemical injection observation and testing; foundation installation observation; reinforcing steel placement observation; concrete placement testing and observation; architectural masonry materials testing; structural steel erection observation and testing; spray applied fireproofing thickness and density testing.
