Laboratory Services
Braun Intertec delivers comprehensive artifact processing, analysis, documentation, and curation services for artifact assemblages recovered from archaeological surveys/inventories. From initial processing through final repository submission, we help clients meet agency, repository, and regulatory requirements while ensuring compliance with federal curation standards under 36 CFR 79.
Our fully-equipped archaeological laboratories provide more than 3,000 sq ft of secure, climate-controlled space dedicated to artifact processing, analysis, documentation, photography, temporary storage, and curation preparation. Specialized work areas support artifact washing, drying, analysis, photography room, and collection preparation. We also have a robust reference library and in-house typology collections that aid artifact identification, classification, and interpretation. This dedicated laboratory space allows us to temporarily house artifact assemblages while they are processed and prepared for return to the appropriate owner or repository facility.
