- Analysis and evaluations: Evaluations of structural, mechanical, energy and wall assembly
- Assessments: Petrographic and infrared thermography methods to detect various issues such as fungal growth and asbestos
Concrete Forensics
Our understanding of construction practices, concrete performance in different environments, and the microscopic mechanisms within concrete equips us to help clients investigate the origins of concrete failures. We have a variety of tools and strategies at our disposal to pinpoint failures. Nondestructive testing techniques can be combined with petrographic analysis and laboratory testing to understand the physical properties of the material related to observed distresses. Other than determining the cause of failures, the goal of forensic evaluations is to provide repair guidance.
